If you have a facebook page for your business and you haven't already, then you need to add yourself as the page owner of your page.
Here's the why:
So people can contact you.
As you may have noticed when you visit any facebook page, there is no function to contact the administrator/s.
You may really enjoy what they're doing, or would like to get in contact with them to find out more information or maybe you have an offer that you wouldn't necessarily post on the wall (no, not that kind of offer!).
Now imagine if a potential personal training client came across your page. Yes, there might be links to your website or blog, you may even have contact details in your information section; but these days, people seem to prefer to contact fellow 'facebookers' via private message.
If this prospect prefers the latter; this gives them the perfect opportunity to shoot you a message (since you don't have to be friends to send messages to each other) and inturn receive a personal response from you.
Another reason is that social media is all about transparency.
What do I mean by that?
People want to know who they're dealing with. People want to see that a real person is providing them with all of this quality information and it gives you the opportunity to engage your readers on a personal level.
How To Add The Page Owner Function On Your Facebook Page:
1. Log into your facebook account and go to your page
2. Hit the Edit Page button on the top right
3. In the left hand column, click on the 'Featured' Tab
4. Click 'Add Featured Page Owners'
5. A new window will open with all of the page administrators (or just 1 if that's you) and you simply check the box.
Simple.
As much as I recommend adding yourself to your page as the owner; before you do, make sure your personal facebook profile:
a. Has an image of YOU and is non offensive.
b. Your privacy settings are set accordingly.
c. Your information page on your profile is up to date and relevant.
And of course, if you enjoyed this article, please share it on facebook and twitter by clicking the icons at the top of the post and to never miss an update, make sure to add your email address below and click "Get Updates"!

Hey Ben, I already added my details onto my page for this very reason but this is helpful to know how to add a page owner. I often want to contact someone re the business page and can't find their information. Thanks.
